FOR REAL THOUGH I WAS TALKING ABOUT THIS LAST NIGHT

it seems like it’s not an entirely weird direction to take the Assassin’s Creed franchise in, considering how (here in America, anyways) the Revolutionary War is characterized as the untrained, ill-supplied underdog American troops turning the tide against the British by being sneaky and using the landscape to their own advantage. (granted, we also had a lot of help from France and Spain, but WHATEVER, GLOSS OVER THAT SHIT) plus there’s always the idealism-clash angle they can work— America’s humanist founding fathers vs. the God-given mandate of King George III, though that’ll probably translate into “Thomas Jefferson could secretly jump over buildings”

IF ANYTHING, it’ll provide a new and interesting historical period to run around in and learn more about. not sure how this’ll change base gameplay, though, since it’s not like they had sprawling cities back then. (Boston and Philadelphia will probably be hub city candidates, i guess, but that’s a hell of a downsizing from Rome and Constantinople.) MAYBE Ubisoft will take advantage of this and give a new, alternative/possibly more balanced look inside life in 1700’s America? BUT PROBABLY NOT
